The Buddhist Coalition for Democracy: The New Kid on the Block
Buddhist Coalition for Democracy (BCD) board members John Murphy and Rev. Seth Zuiho Segall will discuss the origins of the BCD and its Call to Action, the organization’s guiding principles, its initial actions and future programming, and its view of the current political situation and the role Buddhists can play in supporting democratic principles, ideals, norms, and processes. We will discuss the BCD’s intention to be a non-denominational Buddhist organization that embraces a broad spectrum of anti-authoritarian political views.
